About
Hey, nice to see when people want to know about you!
I have always liked animation. I started drawing around the time I turned 13, which is a little later then most people tend to in the animation industry. But ever since I can remember myself, I always loved cartoons. Even in high-school, when most kids would end up watching latest movies that were coming out on the big screen, you would most likely get my attention by mentioning the latest animated feature or the new cartoon series on Teletoon.
During high-school I enjoyed drawing significantly, and when I turned 15, with the help of my parents I got to go experience 2 years of studying at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto. Those two years were exceptional, but due to being distracted by other things that tend to go on in a teenager’s life, I didn’t end up understanding the value of the education being given to me.
After graduating high-school, I attended Humber College’s program in 3D Multimedia Development. At the time of my attendance, the program was a 2 year course. And as lucky as I could have ever been, one of my teachers at Humber ended up being one of the best Character TDs in the 3Ds Max community, Paul Neale. He introduced me to Character Rigging, which became my career after graduation.
After Graduating Humber College, I was hired by Crytek as a Technical Artist. Crytek provided me not only the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on such great titles as Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Crysis 2, but also the rare opportunity to move to Europe and experience living in a new country and the ability to visit some of our worlds most amazing historic places. I have been at Crytek for the last 3 years.
My time here also showed me that however great the experience that I got was, my real passion is still within animation itself. Rigging all those characters for animators got me really close and personal with how they work, and awoke the feeling that has been asleep for some time now.
So with time, I hope I will get my skill to such a level that I can begin the long awaited, infinite journey in the world of animation.
